Feels a bit weird how landfill indie has recently been subsumed into the spuriousness of and accordingly re-promoted as 'indie sleaze' because they were both sort of mid-00s things with guitars.

I first saw and fell for Panic Shack in 2019 on their third gig when they didn't have enough of their own songs for a half hour set. Five and a bit more than a half years later their debut album is number 11 in the midweeks. Something feels quite weird about that.
