Wow, this is spot on ! It’s so good to hear these issues being addressed. I’m a wife & mum for two chronically ill & disabled members of my family. The fight is real & constant but we have had pockets of amazing care.

It’s a broken system 😢 but thanks for the reply. We have decided to go outside to a 3rd party with her Personal Wheelchair Budget. What 🤯 is that if OD didn’t have me she would be unable to get one. AJM are the WORST company I have ever delt with ! They need the contract to be pulled.

2 year & still waiting for wheelchair for a 22 year old. We were given one, reassessed as not fit for purpose. Waiting since Aug & still nothing, even with the commissionaires involvement🤯

The poor communication is crazy. I have spoken to 2 consultants this week & both who haven’t been passed on information. They are just as frustrated as me. It has also lead to extra costs in both circumstances 😩

We would often bring in food for children. Or make sure they were given extra food at lunchtime. This is so important especially in my school ( in a deprived area) Well done !

I had no choice to give up a full time job to care for our 22 year old & my hubby. No help given by adult services, lots of talk but no help. I want to work but I made myself so incredibly ill trying to work & be a carer. I would often go into work in a few hrs sleep, this was my normal.

Maybe this should be shared with some of the medical community. Especially in children health care/ Gynaecologists/ anyone dealing with ME from our own experience with 2 family members 🤔

I’m sorry but it feels like know one cares. We are into a 2 year process of getting our daughter an nhs wheelchair with AJM & still she doesn’t have it. It’s a standard one. They tried to give her a ridiculous a basic one that cause so much pain 😢 Why is everything such a fight 💔
