In this economy, many Americans are running out of any type of currency to pinch.

The bare minimum of their job should be knowing what's in the bills they vote for. They can even have their assistants read and summarize them.

Johnson is going to have the vote to reopen the government and then immediately adjourn the House for the holiday break.

Soon, Trump is going to say all Americans will need to kick in an additional $1000 to the government because "money is a bit tight".

Should they? Yes. Will they? No.

It wasn't working so we voted to make things worse.

I think they'd be starving them even if Congress was open and the Epstein files were released.

Old habits die hard. Also, I'm sure the "consultant class" doesn't like deviation from how they think things to be run.

Yesterday, someone said Trump isn't simply showing contempt for the American people, he's rubbing their faces in the lavish lifestyle and wealth he and the other obscenely rich "elites" have acquired.

A $2K check? In today's economy that's a single payment of:
- 1 to 1.5 month's rent
- 3/4 to 1 month of a mortgage payment
- 3/4 to 1 month of unsubsidized health insurance
- 1 to 2 months of childcare

He really is out of touch as that's not the payout he thinks it is.

Exactly. No one would pay the fees required to cover the AI firm's operational costs. My employer is just now realizing the month to month costs for having very limited AI in one product which has caused them to drastically scale back plans for more adoption... and this is with the subsidized cost!

Personally, AI has utility. I use it daily & it does increase my productivity somewhat. My employer has successfully incorporated it into an existing product NOT as a simple chatbot. What AI isn't is an end-all, do-all solution as promised by the AI firms. It's overhyped & overvalued in that aspect.

He says admires Trump on many things and anyone who isn't deranged would acknowledge these things. Please elaborate on what Trump has done that you approve?

These tech bros all fake a pseudo-intellectual persona but their reasonings and "beliefs" don't make any coherent sense.
