Sadly the only dr who has not been a total dick through this process has said she doesn't need to see me any more so now it's just asshole central all the time. Sigh.

I understand Dr's deal w a lot of people who claim to do "research" and then cite some wellness influencer bs. But like...I've spent literally hundreds of hours reading journal articles and case studies and one dr is like "you're so informed it's awesome!" And the other is like "u r clearly a moron"

The worst! I've had the occasional gallbladder grumbles for ages, but nothing like last night. I got a referral to talk to a surgeon (also iv pain and nausea meds so that helped!)

I did get to be a lab rat this morning for student doctors to practice finding gallstones on ultrasound. It was equal parts mortifying and kinda cute how pleased they looked when they found one, like a really gross Easter egg hunt.

This song is on the 4AD collective album This Mortal Coil, but it's Cocteau Twins performing it. Apparently David Lynch loved it but couldn't afford the licensing for Blue Velvet, so he got Julee Cruise to write something "similar" and that was Mysteries of Love.
