I made this tutu for my degree in costuming in maybe 2003. Hand-dyed tulle - each layer lighter from black to white, removable ermine, 3D floral and branch organza cut into leaves on top of the skirt, used a lighter to seal it!
A black and white tutu are laid on the floor the skirt has many layers of tulle, going from black to white at the edges. There are sharp black leaves cut from 3D floral organza (flowers and branch embroidery dot the fabric). A white ermine with black spots is made to wrap around the neck of the dancer, connecting to the tutu at the chest.
