I remember watching old Star Trek episodes in high def for the first time and seeing the makeup and practical effects not remotely hold up. Some old media does much better in potato quality

Seriously, parasocial media can lead some people down weird and unhealthy paths. I hope you feel free to contain as many multitudes as you'd like

I imagine when people vaccinate it increases GDP with less time off needed and lowers uninsured medical costs. I'm sure a health economist could back that up with real facts, but would make sense to me to pay those folks who benefit society rather than enrich another oligarch

It really made some of the articles right after the election of people searching "Why wasn't Biden on my ballot" and similar stories about low-(politics)information voters make a lot more sense. It's so hard to notice being in an information bubble these days.

Same! they were such a fun quick read, I devoured them when they came out. Appreciate the candor, this might be one that I wait to see what people say when the series is done.

I haven't caught the series yet, but loved the books. For anyone that read it first, how does it compare? I feel like game of thrones seasons 5-8 broke me, and I need reassurances
