This article proposes a grand compromise on immigration. The author ignores tRump’s motivation for the ICE buildup. Immigration is just a stalking horse for him to build his gestapo. There is no bargain to be had, grand or otherwise.

Litigation against abortion should try using the equal protection clause of the constitution. Recent negarive outcomes show pregnant women are not getting the same protections from harm as women who are not pregnant. Since the disparity is directly caused by legislation. It is unconstitutional.

The murder of Charlie Kirk was political violence. He was killed by a lone, destabilized man for political views he expressed in public.

The murder of Renee Nicole Good was also political violence of an even worse kind. She was killed by a destabilized _government_ with an ideology of hate.

Venezuela may be tRump’s ticket to a Nobel Peace Prize. If he can increase oil production enough to halve the price then Russia might have to pull out of Ukraine. OPEC could be forced to protect Israel by controlling Hamas. The US sees prices fall and decides tRump isn’t so bad after all.

The US president’s legal ability to arrest someone in another country is not a constitutional matter. It’s governed by treaties and international law. Extradition treaties all require the cooperation of the host country. Strictly speaking, that makes the arrest of Maduro illegal.

Congress needs to immediately limit the size of ICE to a small number of people. tRump is using immigration as a lever to build a large army that can legally be deployed domestically. Once it’s big enough, the mission will change to Internal Control and Enforcement.

Various conservatives have long promoted the idea that a scientific theory cannot be true unless we are 100% certain of its truth in every conceivable circumstance. They do this because they know that it's not possible to ever do that for any theory. It amounts to saying no science is valid.

In the 1950s, when voters appeared to be majority moderate, surveys established that they were mostly just uninformed about the difference between liberalism and conservatism. America has never been truly moderate. Since then, parties have told people what to think and moderation had no chance.
