I feel ignoring a chat or deleting the convo to more rude and harsher than a hard block. I view it as a way to declutter my map and inbox at the same time. 🤷‍♂️

If you're not interested, the block button allows you to keep your email in box at zero and also keeps the other guy form messaging again. This would be more precise communication.
