All new art will FIRST be posted to @swapnote.bsky.social and then reposted here for easy viewing! Sharing my work with others is always welcome, so long as all appropriate credit is given. Here's a small sampling of my prior work, ranging in date from 2021-2024:
A colorful illustration of characters from the "Nikki and Friends" series (known primarily for its debut entry "Swapnote") appearing in the environment and art style of the "Animal Crossing" world. The titular Nikki appears near the left end of the image, smiling at the viewer with a single raised arm. Her anthropomorphic animal companions, Cat and Panda, are seen inspecting a nearby curious-looking tree and enjoying a snack on the beach, respectively. The scene takes place at daytime, near the edge of where the beach meets the mainland, with deciduous and coniferous trees, plus flowers, appearing in both the midground and background. In the background is also a series of cliffs, the tallest of which features a small waterfall. There are only a few clouds in the background sky, and a mild lens flare from the sun, which is out of view. Sunlight is casting shadows to the right of the viewer, which, given apparent time of day, would seem to indicate that the viewer is most likely looking toward the south. In the top-right corner of the illustration is the artist's signature, "Swapscribble," written in such a style as to blend in with the appearance of the nearby clouds. An animated GIF of a low-resolution pixel art character. A young woman with medium-short brown hair, light skin, rounded red glasses, and a gentle smile. She is delicted fluidly running in the direction of the viewer in a simple orange collared dress. The animation style could be described as "bouncy." A single detailed illustration of a blue cartoon-styled character of feminine appearance. On her chest is a very large, deep blue gemstone with detailed reflections drawn. Her skin is a light azure hue, and her dress is short-sleeved, medium-blue in color, with ehite and dark blue accents. She also appears to wear low-topped simple shoes of the same aforementioned dark blue shade. On her neck and atop her head are two comically large bows, light teal in color. The one on her neck is more obviously a bow tie, but the accessory atop her head is more abstract and "trumpet-shaped." The bow ends protrude from the top of her hair, whereas the ribbons protrude from the back. Her hair is a darker, desaturated teal-ish color, in what can be compared to a 'bob' style, however, with somewhat exaggerated proportions. Her eyes are wide open with a seemingly dazzled impression, pupils dark blue. Prominent eyelashes can also be seen. She wears a translucent blue visor, which covers the entire top half of her face. Behind her, she is shown to have wings, rounded in shape, made of water, as is one of her primary magical abilities. A simple cartoon-styled drawing of a fictional young human woman, an original character of mine, with an overview of her personality and life featured alongside. Her name is listed as Eleanor Bellerose, nicknamed "Nellie." She is 24 years old, American in nationality, of deeply mixed ethnicity but with living relatives in France. Her skin is medium in tone, hair a modest brown with purple stains scattered throughout. She wears a colorful layered dress, with each layer forming a sort of four-stage gradient from top to bottom, white to red to dark purple. She also wears grass-green rain boots, casual drop-style earrings with the shape of a strawberry on the ends, and magenta-colored round glasses. Her hair is styled in a simple braided ponytail, which goes down to approximately shoulder length. She is 5 feet in height. Her personality is described as follows: Likes edible plant gardening, exploring nature, reading realistic fiction, socializing, children, rainy and snowy weather. Dislikes isolation, the cold, school, eating leafy greens, and being g subject to high expectations. Added to this is one piece of additional trivia, which reads as follows: "With the faithful approval of her mother, [she] left her hometown to pursue her dream of running a small fresh produce market in the big city! (Or, at least, the outskirts of one, where rent is cheap.)" Above all of this is attribution to the artist, written along the top of the image, with the username "@Swapdoodle" alongside the logo for Twitter, and "@Swapscribble" alongside the logo for Tumblr.
