I spent many happy hours in this reading room when it was part of Swansea Library. It’s now part of @uwtsd.bsky.social and hosted the annual IWD Jessie Donaldson lecture. What a treat to spend more time here again.

If you have a bit of time over the holidays and can get to Cardiff I highly recommend visiting Cardiff Museum. It currently has a really interesting exhibition about the miners strike.

Son’s 3rd uni offer came in today. So far, all good offers but not the one he wants. I don’t remember feeling this nervous for my own uni offers.

Last night was mixed. Chaired our Swansea West CLP meeting and went straight to a gig at the Patti Pavilion with my son. I reckon it won’t be long before he won’t want to be gigging with his mother.

My son got his first university offer and I think I am more excited than when I got my own offers back in the day.

Equal pay day today. Since we’ve had equal pay legislation since 1970, it’s really disappointing that there continues to be a pay gap in 2024.
