I feel very strongly you both need to be made aware of TLo’s Miss Universe commentary

I also have that talent! When I did QA testing it was a mite frustrating for the devs, because they couldn’t replicate it and I could, so we were reduced to things like “I dunno, try doing it really fast”

I was assured X-rays were clear and there was nothing wrong, then the MRI showed meniscus tears and full cartilage loss in several spots. It was very not yay for a while, but no need for surgery, eventually the meds kicked in, I don’t have to two-foot stairs anymore, and it’s yay again

I spent so much on my teeth last year that I could deduct it on my taxes. Cost more than my car

I have a family member who does this and it makes me want to throat punch him. Subjecting other people to it because you need constant noise feels remarkably hostile. (I appreciate the irony of this given I mentioned throat punching, but I said I *wanted* to, not that I *do*)

What comes first, the ideas or the background knowledge? I’m thinking of things like the square-cube law in KPS - I can see picking that up randomly and it sparking an idea after it percolates in your head for a while

I’ve ordered some 3D printed Ikea pegboard accessories from Etsy - I bet you can come up with some good ones!

I was surprised to learn that people with pacemakers shouldn’t use these. We keep some pin ones around for them

Intelligence too. They want someone smart enough to appreciate *their* genius, not have her own

I know someone who reported a clogged toilet there and got a “my pleasure” in response

Did you finally receive your notice nearly two weeks after everyone else, *postage due*, like I did?

Can’t risk giving performance awards to illegally fired then reinstated probies - it’d put the lie to the fired for poor performance thing. It would’ve been my fourth award in under a year

Mastiffs? Lump em all together if necessary, but English mastiffs and Cane Corsos are awesome. And Neapolitan mastiffs, dogues de Bordeaux, bullmastiffs…

First aid kit. Moving comes with injuries and you’ll never find the bandaids.
Fire extinguisher/fire blanket
New locks
Small tool kit so you don’t have to search the garage boxes for tools to reassemble furniture
Sign up for local buy nothing group and post boxes and packing supplies as you unpack

Like the law firm partner who would bring documents *into the bathroom* and mark them up *while pooping* then blithely hand off biohazards to his secretary to edit the electronic copy. Also done with the communal newspaper from the break room. Not coincidentally, I became a germophobe working there

GEOINT (gee-oh-int) follows the same pattern as SIGINT (signal), HUMINT (human), etc. Feds and military are wild about abbreviations. The appendices defining them at the end of documents were LENGTHY. My master list went at least ten pages and there were some I never found a definition for.

Apparently being the NGIA rather than NGA would make them seem less important than the FBI, CIA, etc. so the hyphen was their solution. No, really. It’s exponentially ridiculous

Thoughts on the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency? I loathe that hyphen

It’s wild, isn’t it? The US was literally founded on identity politics; only white male landowners could vote. Other types of people had limited/no rights.
