I'm sure a buddy of his is benefitting from a questionable bidding process, if one even existed. 🤦‍♀️

Why wait until the 18th?

DJT is as dangerous as DDT.
Dangerous, Deadly, Disastrous, Dimwit...

And even with employer paid health benefits there are caps on how much they’ll pay and how often. Do those benefits keep up with the actual service fees? Absolutely not. So we often end up paying out of pocket, and if the service provider charges more than what’s covered - expect to pay even more.

We need more Sparkles!!

Are we honestly surprised? This is the same group of politicians who bow to the gun lobby, thinking it an acceptable option for parents to buy bulletproof backpack inserts rather than institute even some moderate degree of gun control measures.

It promotes spying on your neighbours, not too dissimilar to Nazi Germany, Russia and other closed countries. Neighbours willing to report family, friends, colleagues for 30 pieces of silver.

Omg Trump is himself full of so much hot wind!!!

My question too.

Where are all the other Texas Democrats? Did they all sign the SI called permission slips?? Did they all want to head home to sleep in their comfy beds??? WTF
August 19, 2025 at 3:45 AM
As a Canadian who doesnt entirely understand US politics, am I right to understand that all the other Democrats signed the “permission slip”? I can’t understand why she is the only Democrat being held hostage?Where are all the other Dems who left Texas to prevent the gerrymandering ordered by Trump?

We don’t have the equivalent LTOR in Australia, and intersections seem to have far better flow with a good amount of time for right turning traffic. The equivalent in Canada would be allowing a left hand turn arrow, so that more cars can get through the intersection instead of the 1-2 at peak time

Disgusting. Start the lawsuits!!

Suggest you Google the first few words of the phrase and add SAR. You’ll get many results from various SAR and outdoor hiking orgs detailing why this advice could be life threatening. Couple of screen shots showing just an example or two of the arguments against this viral trend.

Where does Canada currently source the majority of the vaccines offered across the country?
August 6, 2025 at 4:37 AM
And Canada’s supply of vaccines? Do Canadians need to be concerned if the US isn’t researching or manufacturing them?
August 6, 2025 at 4:35 AM
You’re welcome. I was the same as you when I first heard about this. Seems to be advice that does the rounds every few years, and SAR’s have to reiterate why it’s the worst thing one can do when your battery is about to die.
August 6, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Unfortunately no, this is not a great idea. Google search the phrase and you’ll find many many posts from SAR orgs requesting folk do not do this.

What would you recommend people do instead Paul? Genuine question. People feel powerless in the face of government inertia.

How To Be Sick by Toni Bernhard was the very first book I read following my diagnosis. Written by a woman with MECFS; her insights, experience, honesty, courage and compassion was just what I needed. It’s also available in audio format which was helpful in the early days. Highly recommend.

She’s also only 19, with limited life experience.

My sister no longer knows how to send flowers as we’re not in the same country any longer. But when your work place becomes “like family”, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. 🤭 😢
July 9, 2025 at 2:56 AM
That really sucks that there’s a flower or card quota, and you’ve apparently reached your limit.
July 9, 2025 at 2:49 AM
Yup. It sure stinks. In my workplace we paid attention to only the good things - birthdays and babies - but when colleagues fell ill (seriously ill, not just a sniffle) it was all crickets. All I wanted were flowers and a card, to know that my absence was recognized. Almost 3 years later and nada.
