So the agent provocateur is something to be wary of, but this moment is also bringing out what you might call the agent subjuguer - the bad actor seeking to influence people to give up in the face of fascism. There's a lot of "don't stick your head above the parapet - they're too scary to resist".

If you must read the comments, and if you can't help but intervene when you inevitably see fascist trolls/bots, you can always treat the situation as you would when someone's getting harassed in public. If someone's being drawn into debate with the fash, talk to that person. Help get them out of it.
