Just finished book 3 of @craigrussellauthor.bsky.social Jan Fabel books. Wow. As a history/archaeology buff I found it really interesting and spent half my time looking stuff up on Google. Thankfully this book had less of the official police titles in German so I was able to understand their roles..

Started reading Brother Grimm, the 2nd Jan Fabel book by @craigrussellauthor.bsky.social. (Maria lives, by the way, else I'd have put this book down 20 pages ago.)
Discovered another great sounding German word: schlaksig. Going to use it to describe my Dad from now on.

Finished reading first Jan Fabel book by @craigrussellauthor.bsky.social which I have steamed through (and majorly approved of one characters name). Is Maria ok? Will Vitrenko be caught, or will he kill again? Why is Spitzbube such a great word? But is Maria OK? I am terrified to read the next book.

It's my first Christmas in my childhood home since Mum died.
She always went all out at Christmas when it came to food, and although she passed the baton to me when I was 19 she still had a hand in the menu.
We always had family over, the house smelt amazing, and everyone always smiled.

So thankful to be in a relationship with someone who loves and understands me. Tonight we went to see The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe,which was utterly magical, and which was a throwback to our first conversation. It's been such a great day despite the pain.

Such an amazing day with those I love creating amazing memories. Lunch at a restaurant I've wanted to go to for a long time, laughter... Horrid fibro flare... But still an amazing day!
