That left 3 to go. So over the last few weeks I picked up these “well loved” masterpieces. Roy and Jackie in one card kept the cost down and this one is as “well loved” as they get. Nine players in all, all Hall of Famers, all played in the Negro Leagues, and aside from Satch, a relative bargain!

Oops should have tagged @sabrbbcards.bsky.social. So that’s five down (Banks and Mays on team cards is the easy way to go). Fortunately I had bought this one back in the early 2000s. This is the only expensive one….

Inspired by the recent return to collecting by @adarowski.bsky.social and my love for the Negro Leagues, I decided I wanted to get cards for every Negro Leaguer who also played in integrated baseball and also made the Hall of Fame. If you grew up in the 70s you already have these ones:
