So that was it. I blocked them and reported their account. Evangelinevtube has now deleted their post and idk if they're still using their account here. I hope I'm wrong and they are a real artist but artist or not, you should not take the work of other and pass it as your own.

I sent the original image to evangelinevtube and told them that while I am sorry for doubting them if they are a real artist, nothing they have shared with me has convinced me that they are a legit artist.

And that art wasn't even their own. It was posted on Twitter by a small vtuber who got it commissioned for her and her partner. This shit was getting mad wacky. This was literal plagiarism no doubt

They tried to assure me Paypal was the safe way to go but I was like "are you sure". I also shared an image of her first(and only) post for some reason and they assured me again. Still don't know why I shared that image at such a premature time.

I checked the about me page of the site, and for the life of me I could not find any trace of Bella or evangelinevtube at all. I was already convinced I was talking to a scammed, so I threw in a cheeky comment saying the about me section went hard(it does). Evangeline thought I saw her as a scammer

They alleged they and Bella "work together" and are part of a "team" and share each other's ideas. I was suspicious of them by this point and asked the artist what they meant by a team. They further noted they were a part of a vtuber rigging company named Viroid Studio.

Confused, I decided to use good old Google image search and found the original artist who drew the last two images. I contacted the "artist" and told them about my findings.

One's a highly detailed dog...thing, the other was of a conventional anime style, and the last two looked straight out of a Disney Princess cartoon. Every artwork was inconsistent from the last.

They told me they draw in 2D and accept PayPal as payment. I requested to see some of her old art, and they obliged. I thought of it as not bad, but something rubbed me the wrong way. The artstyle of these were all over the place.

We convened, and I asked what their rates were. They didn't give me a good answer and only asked me what were my thoughts and ideas. I thought of this as weird since commissioned artists usually post their rates publicly, but i didn't think much of it.
