I guess I was just surprised that this was not mentioned when discussing TDA winning graphics of the year. I first thought it was a bug and waited for two months that they would fix it :)

Mostly maybe, but some were really subpar for 2025 imo. For me indy is much prettier than TDA due to better asset quality. Of course indy is much smaller scope, so that is understandable. Most of the time in TDA you are not close to any textures, which probably explains the priorities.

Late on this, but why almost no one is not taking about how poor the textures are in some places in doom the dark ages? For example the climbing surfaces and doors. I am now replaying indy, which is the opposite of TDA on this. TDA needs a 4k texture DLC.

Yeah, I think eventually the negative sum game due to mining and other costs should face the reality when inflows lessen, but maybe there is endless supply of fools.

I think it was just refreshingly a popular game with strong direction. People are tired of design by committee style in AAA. But somehow these people do not go to indie games, so maybe here the narrative of saviour comes?

Great to hear, I will wait at least couple months so they iron out the tech side on PC, but sounds exactly what I wanted. Just played Mafia 1 on game pass.

No one is talking about the really poor textures in some stuff? For example, climbable wall texture is horrible, same doors. Or is my game bugging out? 4080, tried different settings.

Disclaimer, I installed this after prologue and did not test without after and I have 9800X3D, so could be placebo + good PC + shaders compiled now. I assume it forces shader precompilation every time game is started as there is long pause. www.nexusmods.com/clairobscure...
