The US has benefits that China does not. Its borders are safe and stable. Canada and Mexico are friendly with the US and the border countries' military capabilities are not strong. In contrast, China is surrounded by military powers.

Russia, Pakistan, India, and North Korea have nuclear weapons, while in North America, the US is the only one that has them. Additionally, the US has reliable alliances in East Asia.

I got this mug at the Smithsonian. Along with Bodhidharma we have four characters, which read 七転八起, or ‘nana karobi ya oki’ in Japanese pronunciation.

The saying “seven fall, eight rise” encourages us get back up when we stumble. Or maybe it means “you fail until you don’t.” #DrSethZenClass
