There is an age at which a person becomes aware of and understands the repercussions of their decisions. Align all of these I say. It seems ludicrous to me that we can tell someone they aren’t responsible to make good decisions about drinking, but can elect a government.

We need to come to one standard ‘age of understanding’, to agree at what age someone can make a decision that has potential significant consequences. We can’t say vote or learners at 16 but drink at 18, or enter a casino 20. Which is it? It can’t be all of these.
