I will say the one area I think S/V excels is the story so I think thatll help with getting through it

Exactly, like I will openly get at Scarlet and Violet cuz even with the good parts it does have, the game itself still left a lot to be desired gameplay wise, I just cant bring myself to say Legends Z-A is a bad game cuz I feel like Im lying if I do say it since its a big improvement from S/V

The funny thing is those 2 things you bring up for Pokemon, is exactly what people also bring up for Sonic, which I guess I can argue was in a similar state to Pokemon before Frontiers came out, but the combo of the Sonic movies doing very good and SEGA letting Sonic take more time is helping a lot

And what makes me even more frustrated about it, is that this game actually got delayed from when it was originally gonna come out(2024) and isnt in the horrible state Scarlet and Violet launched in

It kinda feels like Pokemon is trying to improve and its showing somewhat in Z-A with the new battle system and such. Its just almost like Pokemon cant ever improve in some people's eyes
