I’m often found trying to find the next beautiful hike that wanders near water or mountains.
What a beautiful sunrise! Happy 4th of July!

It’s the last day of school and I’m enjoying a glass of wine by the fire table while comfy cozy under a throw blanket. It’s a typical Seattle summer.

It’s hot today by Seattle standards and a second grader while walking to the portable took off the baseball cap he was wearing and started swinging it around. When he saw me looking at him he said, “I’m putting cold air into my hat to cool me off”.

I’ve been seeing deer on my early morning walks. I assume it’s the same brave deer. Even though they, along with the bunnies, go after my plants I really enjoy seeing them.

This is Latte. She currently has a UTI infection. She refuses to take her medicine unless it is mixed into a Churu and she can lick it off my fingers.

A sure sign of spring. Last year they didn’t bloom but I have one blossom this year. Happy spring!

Wow! What a beautiful day in Seattle. These are the days that remind one of why we slog through the gray and gloom of November, December, January, and February. We get an early taste of spring and one’s heart soars with joy.

I love being able to go in and get my teeth cleaned, a crown prepped and seated all on the same day. It’s so much better than three different appointments spread out over the course of three or more weeks.

One thousand, four hundred, and fifty nine days left.

I’m home sick and Latte and Breve the Brave are doing their best to make certain I’m going to get better. Or, that they’re checking to see if the magic food Lady will continue to open their cans of wet food, which won’t happen if she’s still sick.

January 17, 1994 seems a lifetime ago. But in the lives of Los Angelenos it still reverberates through one’s soul when you hear the faraway rumble and start to hear things shaking. I might be back in my beloved hometown but I’ll never forget living in LA on that day.

Winter colds on a rainy day is manageable. Winter colds with the promise of blue in the skies is doable. But winter colds on a beautiful sunny day in the relentless gray drizzle that encompasses Seattle winter is to be endured.

Is it bad that I’m watching the Cotton Bowl for The Ohio State marching band? After all, the football game is the bread around the filling of the sandwich. I’m all about the band, speaking as a former band nerd.
