Yeah. I said it on stream and I've said it elsewhere but people are not going to look at this like a "budget PC", the market for this is people who want a console alternative and it's coming in higher priced than a PS5 with less power. It's gonna sell nothing and people will be confused.

Spec-wise the Machine is definitely not a PS5-tier console so the idea that they'll price it on par with the PS5 Pro (which basically was dead on arrival) just seems crazy to me.
The Rog Ally X being priced at 1000 dollars is truly some brain rot disease by Microsoft.

Right, but even so, Nintendo and Sony have been pushing less competitive prices for their consoles as well, and spec-wise the Steam Machine is coming in as less powerful than a base PS5. Not a lot less but significantly less enough I suspect a lot of people will balk at anything north of $600.

Ehhh I don't think that's what's happening here, Ark. I think it's quite literally "we think this thing's market is budget PCs, not a Living Room Box". The Steam Deck as much as I'll harp on its lack of sales was priced at least semi-competitively.

The PS5 Pro has sold basically no copies. Nintendo got nearly crucified for the Switch 2 being too expensive for its specs. You can claim it's a "PC Alternative" all you like but the vast majority are looking at it like a console equivalent and 800 bucks for a living room box will not fly.

Zombie is probably what you're remembering. It's an uncommon status in the series but there's an infamous bossfight in FF10 especially that weaponizes it.

The tl;dr is the Ghibli AI Slop Producer was used so pervasively by AI Slop Manufacturers that it's now in a recursive loop where that's all it can produce if you tell it to produce art and don't specifically tell it you want it in Big Boobs Anime Pinup Girl style

I wouldn't be so sure about the guaranteed success part. GTA 6 has to overcome the economic hurdle of diminishing returns - only so high you can push the fidelity and only so many people you can throw at a project for so long that no amount of earnings make back both the fiscal and opportunity cost
