I find Svelte 5 to be a big upgrade over the already great Svelte 4. The ecosystem is booming, and it's a great time to learn Svelte.

In Svelte 5, we use the same reactivity system in regular Svelte components, as well as in .svelte.ts files. Quite nice and elegant in my opinion.

In Svelte 4 the syntax was easy to read and understand.. Until you wanted to refactor your code and share business logic.

One reason runes were added is because in Svelte 4, the automatic reactivity breaks if you move the assignment inside a function for instance.

For icons, @egoist/tailwindcss-icons is great. This way I don't need to import anything for the UI, and it works well with Claude 3.5 Sonnet.
