It one thing to give up 5 goals #Pens but scoring zero at home in front of an afternoon crowd is pretty unforgivable.

You’ll never believe it. The Sens scored on the first shot on goal on the #LetsGoPens

Tough one for #NittanyLions. Thought Franklin coached a good game. Some defensive lapses and the QB play did us in. Have a chance to be good again next year with some roster tweaks. Overall proud of the boys on a great run. #WeAre

The Washington Capitals were not ready to become bad. They had some salary cap luck (LTIR), but they have also been an incredibly well-run team. It all kind of started at the 2023 deadline with who they traded, what they did with it, and who they didn't trade. adamgretz.substack.com/p/the-washin...

#letsgopens this team is maddening. Give up goal on first shot, blow a 2 goal lead late in the third, don’t score in OT, and lose in a shootout. Rinse and Repeat

#letsgopens playing the hits. Goal on first shot. Blow two goal lead. 😡

Per NHL stats:

The most times allowing a goal on the first shot of a game in a single season by a Penguins goaltender is seven (Tom Barrasso in 1997-98). Matt Murray was the only other goaltender to do so six times (2018-19).

Please note this data is available since 1997-98.

Models are showing a pretty good chance of at least an inch of snow Saturday...but odds of a big snowstorm are pretty low. That said, still time for models to shift snowier (or less snowy).
