You have a good base to start off with, but I think it might help to be less vague about why the family booking her was a mistake. Cause I'm not really sure what the stakes are besides her needing money. Like, was it an actual mistake, or is the family too much for her to handle?

Anyways, it's still a WIP. I'm still trying to decide if I should stick with the consequence from the original tale (she and her brothers die if she speaks) or if she has to restart her entire process.

She can't communicate with anyone properly without speech (she's not fluent in the written language of the country she ends up in, and lore-wise everyone can understand each other's speech regardless of language lol). She has trouble making friends and becomes a recluse despite not wanting to be.
