There's something very special about seascape with mountains! Stunning late afternoon view across Big Sand beach to the Torridon mountains. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

How scrumptious are these? 😍

Delicious textures, shapes and colours of sunburst lichen on the shoreline near Big Sand, Gairloch.

Back in one of my happy places. This landscape invites a deep sigh & softening thro the body.

A gorgeous collection of pink ballerina waxcaps on my trail run today (Porpolomopsis calyptriformis). A very good reason to stop for a breather!

Every walk in the woods yields an awesome find - tiny mushrooms on a mushroom! A type of mycoparasite but unsure which. Host shroom was too gone over to id. But a fascinating find!

A lovely patch of White Elfin Saddle /Helvella Crispa next to the path under beech trees. Weird with their lobed caps & fluted stems.
Please don't make this one the butt of any jokes! 😁 Once you see it, can't not see it!

Sometimes we need to go up. To gain perspective & have a 360° vista.
Expansive, beautifully peaceful & quiet apart from playful ravens & skylarks.

It was quiet in the beech woods today. Green canopy above but falling copper & gold crunchy under foot. The space to lose myself & find some peace.

There is something quite magical & joyful about these #fungi. Especially when they are so abundant. They stir the imagination & memories of fairytales...

This captivating pond has reappeared after the dry spell. It sits next to a line of old beech #trees & usually offers up gorgeous reflections as well as various #fungi treats. Clusters of glistening ink caps caught my eye. Stopping to appreciate beauty in nature is at the heart of my #trailrunning 💚

Our streams are running strong after all the rain, bringing reflections & light to the forest. Greens are holding gold at bay, for now. Seeking peace on my trail run this afternoon. Immersion in nature, welcoming back the mud!

Ty Canol is a truly magical place. The beauty of nature is deeply restorative & healing for body, mind & spirit.
I'm full of gratitude that I can experience this, a brief few hours to restore hope

Wreck of the Rover 1886 on Marros Sands looking towards the Gower.
2 miles of wide open beach at low tide: just me, the oystercatchers, ravens & rock pippits.

Marloes sands on an outgoing tide this morning. Stunning clouds, chough pairs calling, a red backed kestrel gliding just below the cliff top & white seal pups in every cove. More time paused taking it all in than running the trail. Time well spent

Came across bright yellow meadow pea & broom on our wander today. As well as red & white clover which I think are also in the pea family?
For #wildflowerhour #peachallenge.
The broom have lovely fuzzy seed pods already!

Someone has had a really good niblle at this Blusher (Amanita rubescens). 1st of the season for me & it seems early but is seen from June to November. Also edible to humans.

Dancing sea thrift. Not orchids! But they were so beautiful in the wind with a backdrop of a field full of lark song!

Came across some Chicken of the Woods yesterday (Laetiporus sulphureus). Not much of it around, so let it be. It is delicious to eat but I preferred to let it spore & spread!

Lovely to see a Cinnabar moth (Tyria jacobaeae) on the #pembrokeshire coast path tiday. Somewhat battered by the wind and no sign of Ragwort as yet, the food plant for its caterpillars.
