The FotMob ratigns for the back line and keeper (not PTJ, who obviously has saved them so many times) are ... high of 4.7, and that might have been generous. Le Tissier AND Keeper 3.7. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

PS I don't really enjoy Garner's reviews most of the time, and he dances around saying how bad it is, but this was correct about the book, if not the world, in the NYT:

I got to a page in #DungeonCrawlerCarl (en français for reasons that a. my book group picked it; b. I don't f*ck with Amaz*n; c. the library had this version; d. I need to read more in French to keep practicing) where just HOLY SHIT. You bet I cried. That last sentence. 🎯

😳😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

People can also trade that food for museum passes, as in for holiday gifts, for instance! The image from Adventure Children's Museum FB page. Such a fun place, run by really great people. adventurechildrensmuseum.org

New backyard cat showed up a week ago, then disappeared, then reappeared, all scruffy. We are feeding Scruffy Belle/Beau in hopes of trap training them and getting them looked at by a vet early next week. Meanwhile, the Neighbor Cats™ are side-eyeing SB, and our own cat is RATHER unhappy.

Book group chose Dungeon Crawler Carl for this month. "Not available on Libby," someone said. I looked & found it at one of my libraries, & I was pleased. Put it on hold; hold came through yesterday. Took me a hot minute to realize a small issue.

And here are the three tuxedo cats/kittens there now, along with cow kitten Theo, brother to the smallest tuxedo kitten.
Tuxedo cats are Amelia (about a year, shy, very sweet), Augustus (3 years old, shiny, purry, huge), and small boy Alvin, 5 months old, brother of the cow kitten on the lap.

Here are Ginger, Tulip (curled up on shelf), Tulip and Rose's mom Poppi, and Rose, who was pausing VERY briefly in the middle of an all-out attack on that cat tree.

Here is Ginger from last week. he is now bigger and a bit of a bully to tiny boy Larry. Also here is Manolo, who is still shy but whose beautiful two-toned tabby grey coat is really starting to show as he turns 5 months old.

Earlier, Noack asked ppl to come sit under the nine-foot grand as he played. When I was a kid, after reading Madeleine L'Engle's The Young Unicorns, I did this every chance I got at my piano teacher's house. Here's a pic.

My fave is Milk Street’s Zucchini with Gochujang and Scallions. It’s paywalled online, but here you go. I tried to translate some things to metric in the alt-text. #recipe

We had a hot water heater issue, & I'm cleaning out boxes of my old schoolwork, which my mom carefully saved, and then I carefully moved to Oregon for some reason.

Anyway, I read LOTR the summer before sixth grade & ... uh.

Wait, holy shit, there's a new @kateelliottsff.bsky.social out today too?!?!?!?!?!

IIRC, I ordered it in print from one of my local indies, but I'm not going to miss it - heading over to Kobo ... where I ALSO might have preordered it like, a while ago.

UPDATE: Oh HELL YES, I preordered it.

Once again, & I've lost count of the number of times this has happened, Bluesky has removed my checkmark from "require alt text before posting." I'm so sick of this shit, @bsky.app. A. STOP disappearing the accessibility checkmarks! or, IDK, B. Don't make it a choice! REQUIRE ALT TEXT.
