Multidisciplinary artist MUNGMUNG unveils her latest project FĒI, released independently this week. This four-track EP is ready to be dropped at house parties, on dancefloors and everything in-between. Its influences are clearly rooted in early 2000's hip-hop and R&B, and the clever yet humorous lyrics are incredibly well delivered over infectious beats. “I didn’t overthink a lot of the lyrics but still stayed cheeky and witty with it and the melodies that came to me were what felt right which reflects in the songs”

The latest EP from Rageflower is such a fine example of Australian music. This laid back, folk-inspired lyrically excellent release is definitely a must listen.

The Reytons dropped their latest album (or EP) Roll The Dice this week.

It takes the elements of dance and rap the band have been experimenting with for a while mixing these up with their trademark indie sound to create what I feel is some of their best work.

Take Five (8th December) Five tracks we highly recommend having a listen to this week. Scroll to the end to listen to them all together on our playlist. Zheani - LOBOTOMY Multi-genre artist Zheani released her latest album LONG LIVE THE OLD DEAD GODS a few weeks ago, and LOBOTOMY has to be one of our favourites from the record. Lyrically this is a fantastic song and the delivery is so on point, with the reverb on the vocals and the flawless adherence to the pattern set early on - Zheani makes this all look deceptively easy.

James: Four Decades, One Definitive Album, and Five Surprising Stories
Summing up a lifetime of work, Manchester indie veterans James release their behemoth four-hour album - Nothing But Love, bringing together many of their top songs over the last 40 years. To mark this special release, I picked the brain of an expert (my cousin) to get some little-known James facts. Firstly, I think it’s important to explain that growing up, I thought James was party music like…

Olivia Dean isn’t special Every time another Ticketmaster fiasco happens I start a version of this article and end up leaving it unfinished, but hopefully today, through this particular lens, is the day I get it done. Olivia Dean managed to get Ticketmaster to stop reselling her tickets for her upcoming tour at ridiculously inflated prices and also get them to refund everyone who overpaid the difference.

Review: The Pixies – Festival Hall, West Melbourne
The Pixies @ Festival Hall 20/11/25 I was just a bit too young to catch the Pixies first incarnation back in the 90s, hitting my teens the year after their initial break up and only discovering them, as I imagine many people did, years later through the soundtrack to cinematic cult classic Fight Club in 1999. But even then, The Pixies were never really at the forefront of my musical tastes, always seeming to exist at the edge of my experiences instead.

Album Review: Annika Bennett – Triple Shooting Star
So after taking a little break from music with too much feeling, I was in no way prepared for Anika Bennett’s emotionally charged Triple Shooting Star this week. I feel I’ve already admitted to crying to far too much music this year, but I’ve been quietly sobbing along to this one since A Cure. It’s a beautiful, moving collection of tracks in which Annika lays bare so many insecurities.

I worried about the quality of the release and its ability to hold its own as a stand-alone project.  But thankfully my worries proved needless. And while I don’t think EUSEXUA Afterglow is quite as good as its predecessor, it’s still a great album.
