I’m a writer at heart but I’m so grateful for the podcast as a reborn medium for writers. Audio stories are visual! When I started in audio long long ago (ok, the early 90s) I was told “don’t go into radio, radio is dead.” Voice is a shapeshifter.

Over the summer I committed to sharing a writing studio outside of my home with a few other writers. We all have busy schedules so most of the time it’s just me and the giant plants. I’ve never felt more grounded/less crazy while writing!

I’ve been thinking about our culture’s obsession with True Crime ever since I returned from Rome. The Colosseum “games” were months long public entertainment w/ state curated judgements, redemptions and grisly murders. I made the #FindingDawn podcast to elevate True Crime but our roots are deep!
