Bigotry of any kind, in a person, makes it the only important thing for me abt the person. thinking about my parent; they might be nice to Me or love me or are supportive of my dreams, but if they are islamophobic, everything else about them is just diminished, trust u have with parents is eroded...

I get why it is considered a timeless classic, unlike many roms it in many ways embraces the fact that class effects love and who you love , which i believe is the main conflict between darcy and Eliza. The book has many wonderful character to despise & love.
