I absolutely wish he was still here, it was a horrible tragedy, as was the killing of Melissa Hortmann and her husband. But, the racist and misogynistic things he believed and said do not square with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

People who were first exposed to Mr. Kirk's uplifting and sensible quotes believe that was him.

People who were first exposed to his racist and misogynistic quotes (like me) believe that was him.

He was both, and while the former is commendable, the latter is disqualifying for public office.

If you were to instruct AI to build a photo with well dressed white people in the Oval office bowing over in concern for another person who passed out, AND a disconnected, deer-in-headlights, clueless-in-emergencies Donald Trump. . . it wouldn't be better than this.

Does that picture even remotely look like someone who should be entrusted with the safety and well-being of nearly 350 million US citizens?
