Speakers will share stories of the defeat of Mosley’s blackshirts in the 1930s, the leading role that Paisley played in Rock against Racism, fighting racism in and through education, using sports to combat racism and build solidarity, and the anti-racist mobilising in Paisley over the last year ✊

As the far right gathers force once more, we look back not to romanticise the past but to draw strength from it. What can we carry forward? What must we fight for now?

We’re standing up to far-right rhetoric and dangerous misinformation by taking action, challenging fear-mongering, and by treating each other like human beings. Join us!

The history of the Highlands, with families and individuals forced from their homes during the clearances, has taught us to stand up to injustice and to act with kindness to those seeking safety.

We’re so much better than the hatred and division some people are trying to spread. Every person fleeing persecution deserves dignity, safety, and respect.
