✨ Every day as an author is a balancing act between creative chaos and health maintenance. Today, we’re leaning slightly toward both.

What’s on your agenda today?
November 12, 2025 at 3:41 PM
💪 2:00 p.m. — TBD workout or gentle walk depending on how my arm feels post–blood draw. (Currently voting for “nap cardio.”)

🌥️ 3:00 p.m. — Wrapping up early-ish, maybe go outside, maybe stare at the ceiling and rethink every life choice that led to three inboxes.
November 12, 2025 at 3:41 PM
🎙️ 1:00 p.m. — Podcast prep for the first podcast interview I have tomorrow about my upcoming book Write for Money and Power (out January 12). Today I’ll be listening to the host’s past episodes and doing some prep so I don’t accidentally say “um” 47 times on air.
November 12, 2025 at 3:41 PM
💻 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. — Admin catch-up mode: emails, client work, caffeine refills, pretending I’m fully back in my own time zone.

🥗 11:00 a.m. — Lunch and a catch-up with Kyle — a.k.a. a brief moment of human interaction before I disappear back into work.
November 12, 2025 at 3:41 PM
🍊 7:00 a.m. — Finally broke my fast with the breakfast of champions: green smoothie, coffee, a hardboiled egg, orange juice, fruit, and one homemade peanut butter bite. (Basically a brunch buffet for one.)

From protein tracking to publishing cadences, this is the real roadmap.

Creativity starts in the body. Let’s build a routine that backs it up.

🌆 5:00 p.m. — Sunset hike through the park.

🧛 Tonight — Vampire Diaries marathon. I’m watching for the first time and I get it now.

Some days are airports and adrenaline.

Other days are admin and ARC campaigns.

Both matter.

What are you working on today?
November 11, 2025 at 6:08 PM
📚 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. — Deep work mode: ARC campaign for a memoir client. Two Barnes & Noble booksellers requested copies (!) and she just got her first 5-star review. These are the moments that matter.

🏃♀️ 4:30 p.m. — Attempting to set up my underdesk treadmill. Wish me luck (and balance).
November 11, 2025 at 6:08 PM
📨 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. — Email catch-up + client check-ins. (If I owe you an email… it’s coming.) Once I finish all of my admin and book launch work I’ll be getting back to my writing time later this week!

🍱 12:00 p.m. — Lunch break!

What’s your version of “catch-up energy” today?
November 10, 2025 at 5:56 PM
💤 10:00 p.m. — Attempting to go to bed early and rejoin Pacific Time like a functioning adult.

✨ Big catch-up energy today — but honestly? I love it. After a month of trains, planes, and dim sum detours, it feels good to be home, creating again from my sunny apartment in SF.
November 10, 2025 at 5:56 PM
📚 4:00 p.m. — Admin vortex. Book launch work, health appointments, inbox triage, end-of-year planning… all the glamorous parts of being a “full-time writer.”

🌲 5:30 p.m. — Maybe a hike to wrap up the day since the weather is so gorgeous today in SF. Otherwise, laptop + candlelight + deep work mode
November 10, 2025 at 5:56 PM
📞 1:00 p.m. — Catch-up call with my assistant Michelle, who has been running things like a boss while I was off sampling dim sum in Hong Kong.

🛒 2:00 p.m. — Grocery run with Kyle. Restocking on smoothie ingredients and pretending this will cancel out the number of pineapple desserts I ate in Maui
November 10, 2025 at 5:56 PM
👩💻 12:00 p.m. — Team meeting with ✍️ Make Writing Your Job. I’ve missed my crew. The curators absolutely crushed it while I was gone — helping thousands of writers and marketers land high-paying jobs across both job boards.
November 10, 2025 at 5:56 PM
☕️ 9:20 a.m. — Coffee acquired. Inbox opened. Chaos resumed. (If I owe you an email, it’s coming. Eventually.)

💪 10:30 a.m. — Gym time. Trying to trick my body into remembering what a routine is after six weeks of noodles, hotpot, and resort breakfasts.

How that younger version of yourself will look up at you with wide eyes as they realize you’re living their wildest childhood dreams.

That’s the power of the written word.

You just have to start.
