Does it say "Presidential Walk of Shame"? Because that's what it should be with the current occupant of the WH.

How is this real life? Of course we should trust experts. "Do your own research" is peak stupid.

We are living in such a STUPID time. Vaccinations are safe and effective. Why do we have to keep putting our hands on the stove to discover that it's hot? What makes me even madder is that it's people my age (millenials) who are refusing to vaxx their kids.

I am not sure the Senator is reading his replies. If any of you in here are a constituent, call his office about this if you haven't already: HI: (808) 523-2061 DC: (202) 224-3934

@schatz.bsky.social Seconding. As one of your constituents, I'm waiting for a forceful response to what happened over the weekend. This is not okay.

I put on a blocker to halt my addiction to doomscrolling. It was great for my mental health, I do recommend.

I haven't regretted unsubscribing from the Post or the NYT. To hell with them. I don't need their bizarre, lukewarm takes on kumbayah bipartisanship as my government is burning down around me.

It's more like Leopard Eating Faces season, where we figure out which group of folks thought this was a good idea and then watch them enjoy the consequences of their actions.

They won 2020. I can't explain this year but 2020 up to then was the most consequential and the consultants won it. I'm just saying, train your anger on the right people.

No one allows gerrymandering. There were lots of lawsuits over it, each one struck down by SCOTUS. The Senate controls the SCOTUS confirmation, and the Dems were the minority party. They have challenged voter ID laws and again, SCOTUS. You can be mad all you want but this isn't it.

Why is it always 2016 that people compare this campaign to? Kamala ran on a good message. She was competent. Her messaging is not that different from Biden in 2020.

I don't understand why you're mad at the Democrats and not the GOP.

Why would she deserve to lose?

None of this grand bargain nonsense. The rule of law needs to work properly for us to have any faith in it.

All of these folks may have a right to vote, having photo ID shouldn't be the thing that stops them.
November 3, 2024 at 10:04 PM
Photo ID can be quite a barrier. For the homeless, for immigrants who naturalized, for those with disabilities, for those with language barriers, and also for the elderly. REAL ID has lifted the barrier to getting photo ID quite high.
