I love a game with a nice legible logo

Was checking my local theater to see what's playing this weekend and it's weirdly amusing to me that both Wicked movies basically have the same poster

Bringing my spooky season marathon to a close. Here's everything I watched. A less productive year than usual for me, but still plenty of new stuff discovered and old favorites revisited.

Got one round of this in while the network test was going. Seems pretty fun

#27. PRINCE OF DARKNESS (1987). Another 4K that I picked up on sale a while back but only just got around to. I would like to formally submit this as Carpenter's most underappreciated movie.

#26. BLACK PHONE 2 (2025). Yeah I dunno man, I think maybe I'm just not that into The Grabber.

#25. THE UGLY STEPSISTER (2025). This closes with a "the end" title card, and if you don't know what the Norwegian word for "end" is, you're in for a fun surprise. (Very good movie, one of the more pleasant surprises of the year, glad I didn't sleep on it!)

#24. THE KEEP (1983). Picked up the Vinegar Syndrome 4K a while back (mostly for Michael Mann completionism reasons) and I finally watched it. Gorgeous! I still have absolutely no idea what this movie is about.

#23. FINAL DESTINATION 5 (2011). Skipped straight to this one after 3. Still a good time, although it's got the weakest lead of any of these that I've seen and the "rules" largely get too jumbled here (counterbalanced somewhat by making the hilarious ending possible).

#22. TOGETHER (2025). Could have gone harder -- the ick factor was a bit overstated -- but enjoyable enough.

Revisiting Luigi's Mansion for the first time in almost a quarter of a century. I never liked it much as a kid because it was the only game I got for Christmas with my new GameCube and I was done with it in like three hours.

#21. THE GUEST (2014). Not a horror movie, but set around Halloween, so it's full of fun spooky flavor. Also it's pretty good.

#20. TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME (1992). Bought the new 4K during the recent Criterion flash sale. Pouring one out for David Lynch, Angelo Badalamenti, Julee Cruise, and everyone else we hardly knew.

#19. DEATH OF A UNICORN (2025). Watched this mainly to have a reference point for the unicorn in Cabin in the Woods. Had never seen a unicorn horror movie before. Now I have and it was meh.
