The Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) is a British medal awarded to Senior Non Commissioned Officers and Warrant Officers of the British armed forces for long and meritorious service. Dad received this honour in Lübbecke in 1954. Very proud of my Dad. @britisharmy.bsky.social

A favourite photo of my Mum from 1944. She always posed for photos right up until she died in 1989. I am biased, but I do think she was rather lovely-looking - and, yes, I didn't take after her 😂

Very happy today. Just heard that the AGC Museum in Winchester will have my dad's medals. That is wonderful news. Didn't want them ending up in some random auction.
