I could probably recite the script for Wonder Boys by heart atp. After seeing OBAA my first thought was that my favorite genre must be movies where the lead wears a bathrobe outdoors.

Run hot water on the lid and then knock it with the handle of a butter knife. Which I resent being told when there’s strong arms right across the room but to my chagrin it usually works.

Has Indiana reconciled its Waffle House problem? In the grunge era there was a Waffle House in Bloomington that was not a real Waffle House but that seemed to have prior claim to the name in the state; real Waffle Houses had to be called Waffle and Steak.

I know it’s a little bit of backtracking since you were there yesterday, but the canyon at Upper Taughannock is really impressive and the hidden upper waterfall—which you can drive over without seeing—is one of my favorites! Ludlowville Falls and Buttermilk Falls are nice “drive up and see” spots.

So I just called Taughannock and made sure the new parking lot is open so I didn’t give you a bum steer: there is a new parking lot on Gorge Road just below Jacksonville Road that will make for a short level walk to the rim trail and new bridge over top falls.

Lucifer Falls is likely not great for your parents if you haven’t already headed out—steps are uneven and challenging even when dry.
