My sister Michelle worked until she was 77, in jobs that didn’t pay well but she showed up and did her best. Her memory was lost (2022) she couldn’t safely live alone in FL and returned to IL in assisted living. Her assets are used up but Medicaid assistance keeps her dignity in a place she knows.

It’s up to us to define who and what we are.

-disappearances (it’s not deportation),
-bailout of farmers rather than exporting goods,
-cuts to services,

On a day when we should honor those who served, protected and died in the process, all of us should take time to reflect on how we live in the freedom they saved. Our leaders should demonstrate reverence and be a model. Maybe that is asking too much from the president:

In Oak Park IL we protested loudly and respectfully for hand off and reminded others that Elon Musk became rich on our dimes.

Spent an afternoon with 5,000 others exercising democracy through peaceful protest and voicing opposition to the current regime I. oak Park, IL.
