I was just there (my hometown) and it rained everyday! My friends say it is called the “watery,” like lottery, referring to if and where it will rain.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett has voted with the liberals two days in a row—-on the losing side of the EPA water pollution case (she wrote the dissent) and the winning side of today’s USAID case. She’ll be interesting to watch. Another court maverick?

Good journalism is in peril, especially under this nihilistic, authoritarian regime. We still need newspapers to keep tabs on government, and too many are dying out leaving a significant gap in news coverage, weakening their watchdog function and our democracy. WaPo is what we have now. 3/4

I want to continue to support them and the invaluable work they do. If he starts cutting into their operations, then I will reconsider.

WaPo’s top-notch reporters and editors still do excellent work and are represented by the Baltimore-Washington Newspaper Guild, which also represented me and my colleagues at BNA. I will continue to support them and the invaluable work they do. 2/4

Well, maybe Elvis as he looks right now.

Agreed. This is the Canadian Embassy on Pennsylvania Ave. in DC.

Ah, thank you. That’s only state and local races. I think we were talking about national races.

Well, no they’re not. Bezos owns the Post. The Times is owned by the Times Company.

Wrong newspaper. NYT endorsed Kamala. Washington Post/Bezos refused to endorse and disallowed a political cartoon critical of the orange dumbbell.

Gen. Bragg was universally despised by everyone, including the Confederates under his command. A real asshole.
