RIP Jane Goodall 💔 I was blessed to see her speak on her book tour here in Charleston SC recently at the Gaillard Center. She was just an an amazing human!

We need to do every little thing we can to honor her legacy, and save the wild spaces on our planet for all animals and our future.

Went to a loggerhead turtle nest inventory on Folly Beach, SC this week, 3 days after it hatched. What a neat experience! They found one remaining baby and 64 hatched eggs, and we watched our wee little one make it out to sea! 🥰
A volunteer with Folly Beach Turtle Watch Program holds a newly hatched baby loggerhead turtle. People are lining a path to the surf, ready to watch the baby make it out to sea. The group chose the name Shelley for the turtle, believed to be a female. Good luck Shelley! Volunteers dig a narrow hole in the sand on Folly Beach, inside an area marked off with orange rope to secure a loggerhead turtle nest. Searching for the hatched eggs and any possible remaining baby loggerhead stragglers. Open to the public, a dozen people are shown standing around the rope.
