Love friendly chats, music, movies, literature, photography, wine. I‘m German 😊 🍀
Ein absolut zutreffender Brief.

Leider kann ich mir da schon einzelne Punkte für einen Brief vormerken, denn der Weg, den Deutschland beschreitet geht ja in dieselbe Richtung. Es ist furchtbar.

Thank you! I read a really incompentent analysis in @zeit.de about this a few hours ago.

I know this is an opinion piece but I‘ll read it now (and basically the Zeitartikel is an opinion piece without being labelled as such).

If any of my staff would write such an email, they would be reprimanded. If it happened again and again they would be fired.

The BBC is apologising for its Panorama edit. It shouldn’t. First, the narrative is true: Donald Trump *did* incite the Capitol riot. Second, the apology won’t appease those attacking it. So why not at least stand for something?

Wrote this on it earlier this week:

The BBC was right about the Capitol riots. In a sane world, Trump would be in jail
The US President faced impeachment over the violence, and in a world where Republicans had more courage, he would have been found guilty

As another German I sadly have to agree.

As long as your recovery continues - may be slowly - but steadfastly.

You seem to do fine without my advice. Pesky internet strangers, eh? 😉

Taking it steady definitely is the best you can do. If you have a bad day, rest as much as you can.

The fall could also have affected your inner ear. That might cause vertigo. However, I am not a doctor. It may just need time. The fact that you actually could take Brae for a stroll today is a very good sign.

Have you discussed this with your GP? I have a colleague who fell from their bike when a driver suddenly opened the car door => concussion, skull fissure and all nerves which are responsible for smelling cut through.
It took a ling time to recover. They had physio at the time.

Did you have a concussion as well?
October 26, 2025 at 7:22 PM
It has been a major accident. Do you get physio or have they said how long it’ll take for the effects of the fractured skull to subside?

That’s a vast step forward afyer the last few weeks, isn’t it?

The clocks switched back here too. Didn’t get up that early though and had a busy Sunday, which required venturing out inspite of the rain and the storm…
