We took our couch cushions off to create a barrier so our dog Halley can’t jump up while she’s recovering from her injuries. This makes a purr-fect safe spot for Dawn to escape to when Calvin teases her. #lifewithcatsanddogs #hideout

“Halley, do you want to play ‘Find it?’” That’s where I hide cat kibble under boxes & in blankets in the family room & she has to sniff it out. When your dog is injured & on restricted activity, you need to get creative to engage her brain. You can tell from her expression, it’s a fan fav. #terrier

When Halley was a puppy, she would find a way to squeeze through. Thank goodness she current fit now, as she needs to be on restricted activity due to her injuries.

I’ve had this bookcase with photos of my beloved angel dogs in my office for at least a year—and none of my cats ever thought to jump up in it. Until yesterday. Here is Elsa Clair with photos of (left to right): Pasha, Rosie, Lilah, Jasper, and Tucker. I miss them all, and I keep them close.
