@msnbc.com I am outraged that you fired Matt Dowd for his remarks yesterday! Are you silencing people now for having an opinion that goes against those in power? Are you scared of strong-arm tactics by the administration? I abhor violence in any form, but sometimes it’s okay to call a duck a duck.

In a world of noise, confusion and conflict, it is necessary that there is a place of inner silence and peace; not the peace of mere relaxation but the peace of inner clarity and love.

“Today you have a choice. You can choose between anger and love, division and unity, frustration and hope, selfishness and giving, turning away and showing up. Choose kindness and the choice is simple. It’s hard to regret being kind.”

“Life is filled with suffering, but it is also filled with many wonders, like the blue sky, the sunshine, the eyes of a baby. To suffer is not enough. We must also be in touch with the wonders of life. They are within us and all around us, everywhere, any time.”

'Twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood
When blackness was a virtue the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form
Come in, she said
I'll give ya shelter from the storm….

Not sure how widespread this is, but sharing anyway. I will do this - already ordering 90% less from Amazon and taking the time to give my business to mom and pops/brick and mortar/Etsy, etc..One day should not be hard for any of us.

later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered
where does it hurt?

it answered
everywhere
everywhere
everywhere.

“Sometimes there is no grand mystery to life, no great philosophy to pursue, no deep theology to embrace. Sometimes there is just a park bench. A place to be. A still-point beneath the trees. Don’t chase meaning. Sit down, breathe, listen, wait. Meaning will find you….”

Sacred Ground (excerpt)

I want to worship
at the shrine of everywhere,
want to know every inch
of this earth as an altar –
every walk, a pilgrimage.
Every step, a step
from holy to holy
to holy.
