The Ohio Redistricting Commission has not yet started its meeting, so official adoption/discussion hasn’t happened yet.

The General Assembly has until Nov. 30 to pass a map.
Court challenges can still happen, which would be under the purview of the Ohio Supreme Court.

There is another meeting scheduled for the day of the deadline, this Friday, giving the commission one more chance to adopt a bipartisan map.
If it can’t, legislators in the Republican supermajority General Assembly can pass a map with a simple majority, meaning Dems can’t stop it.

Today’s Ohio Redistricting Commission meeting is the second since it was reconvened last week. The commission has until Oct. 31 (tomorrow) to come to a bipartisan agreement on a map. If they do, the map can go into effect for 10 years.

The Democratic proposal would be 8 GOP districts and 7 Dem districts, which they say reflects voting patterns for the last 10 years.
Republicans rejected that argument, saying the proposal is a gerrymander.
There are rumblings that a GOP map exists, but the details have not been confirmed.
