Every day after breakfast the dog jumps into my lap. She watches the squirrels in the yard while I drink my tea. It’s a lovely routine. Unless I forget to pet her enough. Then she will turn around & lick my teeth. To remind me of my responsibilities. And somehow this works.

Going on a road trip while somebody else drives is one of life’s underrated luxuries. Five hours to read my lil book, take naps & eat snacks? Don’t mind if I do.

All I’m saying is if you’ve somehow fallen in with people who are way smarter than you are, game night is a special kind of hell. The jig is up my friend. A smart mouth is not going to help you here.

TIL the Opryland hotel is the biggest hotel in the US without a casino. I learned this when my kid texted that she was on a boat tour INSIDE THE HOTEL. I was like that’s some Vegas shit right there so I looked it up & now we know.
