The photo below was taken in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY on December 14, 1980. My friend Laura and I could not get into Manhattan for the vigil for John Lennon so we went to one on LI. The picture appeared on the front page of the Long Island newspaper, Newsday, the following morning.
