This is so beautiful. And so ... blinding.

Instead of having a shower today I had a dip in the river. Tested it first - under 0.05 phosphate. All good and bracing!! #nature #river #kentnature

Kulmbo - proto-celtic word meaning THREAD - of weaving or tale or story. On our night retreat we wove with rushes and herbs. We wove in stories of mothers and grandmothers in nature. And oh! Their stories - tigers in the garden, mothers on mountaintops. #writing #writingcommunity #night

"Water voles should be common ~ For them to be threatened with extinction across an entire country is an indictment .." Good news @amyjanebeer.bsky.social reintroduction + American mink management = ~ ~ evidence of the water vole! These are vole 'needles in sedge stacks' along the River Darent.

Late adopter alert - but not embarrassed. The writing is so evocative of embodied sensory experience - I feel the river ripple through @amyjanebeer.bsky.social "I know how the tresses of water crowfoot ... move in sinusoidal waves" - and "leaves scatter sunlight into whispers" lush, lush, lush.
