Telegraph journo and best-selling ghostwriter. Interested in people, curious about life and forever hungry for original angles on juicy news-related stories with a health, parenting or relationship slant.
Am after a GP who can talk with authority about measles - and whether you can have the jabs if you missed them in childhood etc.

The news hook of course is the tragic child who’s died in Liverpool.

Please email me if you are a doctor who can talk to me today:

I treated rheumatoid arthritis patients for 25 years – then got it myself. Here’s how I stay well
Despite writing on the autoimmune disease, even this doctor struggled to get a quick diagnosis. Eight years on, she now lives a normal life

Loved working with Charlotte for this @telegraphnews.bsky.social piece. Sexism is alive and kicking if you read the comments tho 🙄
I’m having a funny, sexy, love affair with a man 25 years younger than me
After my marriage ended, falling for a 20-something in my 50s was the last thing I expected – but it’s been life-changing

Is drinking a problem for you or a loved one? One husband shares his tale in @telegraphnews.bsky.social. At 1pm we are running a live Q&A in the comments section if anyone has questions or their own stories to share.
I threatened to leave my wife and take the children unless she stopped drinking
I’ve seen how alcohol destroys families, so I knew I couldn’t put my sons through the same ordeal

I lost my own mum to bowel cancer in 2021, and a beloved cousin - a dad of 3 in his 30s - to the same disease.
I'm not yet eligible for free bowel screening on the NHS,
but after speaking to surgeon Amyn Haji and GP Dr. Helen Wall, I'd consider paying.

Colon cancer is on the rise in young people – so should the under-55s pay for a colonoscopy?
The NHS doesn’t offer bowel screening until we’re 50. Yet with cancer rates rising, it may be worth forking out for a private test

The Lady Garden Foundation's poll for Cervical Cancer Prevention Week found that 46% of women didn't know HPV causes cervical cancer. 69 % thought it was hereditary and 13% said not waxing had put them off attending smears! Don't beat around the bush - go for your smear.
Why women have stopped going to smear tests, according to a gynaecologist
Nearly half of us put off our screening tests, mostly from embarrassment. One frustrated gynae busts the common myths that are killing us

I'm doing Dry January this year (not just for basics, thanks) inspired by Ian Parker who I met for @telegraphnews.bsky.social
At 65 it was a shock to be diagnosed with liver cancer. You don't need to have a 'drink problem' to be doing yourself damage...
I’ve survived liver cancer – life without alcohol is so much better
With liver cancer rates surging by 42 per cent over the past decade, one survivor shares his tale

It's January weight loss week at @telegraphnews.bsky.social! There's plenty of different stories if you're looking for inspiration... Harry, once a self-confessed 'tubby gamer', admitted that inside he still feels like the 'desperately shy kid tugging his t-shirt down to hide his body'.
I was a tubby gamer, but now I get told I’m gorgeous
Harry Phillips, was shy and living on junk food until, at 24, he decided to get fit. Now he works as an associate personal trainer

If you're looking to shift some pounds after Christmas (and aren't we all?) you can reset your habits without weight loss jabs. The Human Being Diet sounds hardcore initially - but Debbie Roper was thrilled with her life changing results.

I’d tried Weight Watchers and Noom, but this is the only diet that helped me lose 2.5st
I’d tried so many diets unsuccessfully, but reading one lady’s weight loss story in the Telegraph led me to one that actually worked…
