I love this point in the year when the Taxodium distichum (bald cypress) and the Andropogon virginicus (broomsedge) that is increasing in the orchard #garden beds are both a play on the color orange.

Also, I like showing this graphic to highlight that 1.5C isn’t a “magic tipping point” beyond which all is lost. Every fraction of a degree matters, and staying within 1.5C is better than 1.6, 1.6 better than 1.7, etc.

From 1.5C to 2C of global warming is an increase by 33.3 percent. Many people assume that the negative impacts of this would also increase by only 33.3 percent. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The increase is non-linear.
This is one of the biggest missing pieces in public climate literacy.
