I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.
Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

NBC 4 is saying the plane is closer to Joint Base Anacostia Bolling. Plane is split in two. It is in 7 feet of water. Helicopter is close and upside down and bobbing. Not stable enough to make entry into helicopter, but divers are in the plane

I think it is gross that they are opening Bourbon Street for the Sugar Bowl tonight. 14 people died and now it is open to party and act like nothing happened. Seems very insensitive
